An Exclusive Partnership
IFF is a world leader in the creation of food flavourings and aromas. Since 1959 the New York company has excelled in the development of these new “molecules of progress”: each year around ten are used in the composition of perfumes created in Paris or New York by the company’s perfumers or are sold to competitors, and some have already become classics such as Suderal, Cedramber™ or Timbersilk™ .
Driven by its desire for excellence, the American group is renowned for its invention in 1985 of Living Flower ® technology. This analysis technique revolutionized the world of perfumery by capturing the scent of a living flower in situ and identifying each of its molecular components. IFF took an additional step in the mastering of high-end natural ingredients by acquiring Laboratoires Monique Remy ( LMR ) small company based in Grasse, France took the innovative step of going directly to the source of the raw materials by signing the first long-term agreements with farmers (guaranteeing the perfect traceability of ingredients to its customers) and by developing the molecular distillation technique.
Corps Volatils is the result of an exclusive collaboration (a first in the world of perfume) combining a vision of perfumery with artistic and technological expertise. IFF & LMR NATURALS provide Corps Volatils with their solid know-how as well as their finest absolutes and resinoids, their most refined essential oils and their most surprising synthetic molecules.
His shellfish risotto is sublime and Jean-Christophe Hérault is as passionate about art and literature as he is about perfume.
Jean-Christophe grew up in a world of perfume and was very much aware of them at the beginning of his childhood.
Because he wants his perfumes to leave their mark, Jean-Christophe is naturally drawn towards eloquent raw materials from different olfactive families.
Convinced that daring and creativity are the keywords for the fragrances of tomorrow, Jean-Christophe Hérault believes in the return of perfumes which arouse forceful emotions and never leave you… indifferent.
SES CORPS VOLATILS
All or nothing…. It was always obvious to Caroline Dumur that she would one day become a perfumer. Passion, although the word is not quite strong enough… had always been there but it was perfume more than anything else that she was fascinated by. As vital to her as the air that brings them to life.
Her itinerary includes a Chemistry degree before she went to ISIPCA to obtain a Master’s degree in the famous school in Versailles and several internships in perfume composition. Her cursus honorum began as a perfumery assistant. She has officially been a perfumer in her own right since 2016.
Never giving up, a total belief in her vocation, Caroline Dumur is a defender of free and daring perfumery, not afraid of dark and mysterious materials, always in search of their true power. Experienced in Asian markets, this creator has the world as her horizon and painting as her endless source of inspiration. For her, materials come together in a fragrance like on a canvas, to arouse emotion and feelings, faithful to a style that prefers to achieve the beautiful rather than the perfect.

Among our five senses, it seems that smell has a direct connection with memories and emotions. Julien believes that our olfactive memory is the strongest, our nose is always in alert, even when we don’t pay attention, it prints sensations in the deepest parts of our brains.
Julien Rasquinet realized quite late, and thanks to the intuition of the famous perfumer Pierre Bourdon, that he was destined to creating perfumes. Pierre Bourdon instinctively discerned his sensibility and his potential to become a perfumer. Pierre shared with him his creation philosophy, his techniques, his passion and become Julien’s mentor.
Julien discovered another passion when he first went to the Middle East, he fell in love with Oriental perfumery. When IFF offered Julien the opportunity to join the team in the Middle East, he accepted with enthusiasm, seeing all the potential and the new challenges the region would offer. Julien is a cross regions perfumers with a strong and deep expertise of oriental perfumery.
Julien’s inspiration always comes from an encounter; whether it is a person, a song, a sentence in a book, or a place. From those encounters Julien extracts sensations such as textures, colors, raw materials that will become the base of the story he has been creating in his mind.

Always looking for more, Domitille is as demanding as her idea of perfumery is high-leveled. Extremely fond of very daring and unusual fragrance associations which remain unexpected even when toned down, Domitille has a vivid, salient style that is both powerful and contrasting.
She loves beautiful materials, detests inattentiveness and “fragrance hopping”. Therefore, she creates new ideas that persist but are outside of current trends. She hopes her perfumes will always complement the silhouette like a thick, rich cashmere sweater worn without ever compromising its elegance. A never ending quest.

His sensitivity and his high-end technique, first developed in beauty care, nurture his virtuosity, and define him as a perfectionist olfactive poet.
